Representing five generations of North American music, the Ronstadt Brothers hail from one of Arizona’s best-known musical families. Founded by Michael J. Ronstadt, younger brother of pop singer Linda, the award-winning ensemble is today carried on by his sons (and her nephews), Michael G. and Petie. Multi-instrumentalists and solo performers in their own right, they’ve assembled an exciting repertoire that preserves the traditional Southwestern and Mexican songs of their heritage, while adding innovative original material. Rich harmonies sung in English and Spanish are accompanied by outstanding cello and multiple guitars. The new compositions place them on the cutting edge of the genre, stretching the boundaries of folk, blues and jazz. The group’s latest release, 'In the Land of the Setting Sun,' was ranked one of the Top 15 Albums of the Year by the influential journal Popmatters.
